Non-Hazardous Liquids & Semi-Solid Waste
Central Iowa businesses have a local alternative for non-hazardous liquid waste disposal at Metro Park East Landfill, located in eastern Polk County. Permitted by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, we can accept Non-Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) liquids and semi-solid waste.
Acceptance Hours
Liquids and semi-solids are only accepted 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday. You must have prior approval and an appointment due to the off-loading process. Saturdays are by special appointment only.
Acceptance Criteria
You must complete the waste profile form prior to bringing liquids and semi-solid waste. Below is a list of some common waste streams we accept:
- Industrial liquids
- Municipal waste
- Rinse water
- Latex paint/ink
- Cooling fluids and cutting oils
- Food production waste
- Tank bottoms and sludges
- Drilling waste
